A Moveable Feast
Family owned and operated since 1971, A Moveable Feast is dedicated to providing its customers the best of health foods and vitamins with service by a friendly and knowledgeable staff. The restaurant was opened several years ago within the store to demonstrate a healthy style of eating and to prove once and for all that healthy food tastes really good.
The phrase “a moveable feast” was originally used to describe a feast day or holiday that fell on different dates from year to year. It has become a metaphor for things that change over time. Ernest Hemingway used the phrase as the title of his memoirs of life in Paris in the 1920s, saying that “If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life, it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast.”
A Moveable Feast Restaurant and Store is a place where people gather to celebrate life, socialize with friends old and new, discuss art, philosophy and current issues of the day while enjoying good food and drink. John and Suzanne Fain, owners of A Moveable Feast, believe that life is what you make it and that life is definitely a moveable feast.
